Climbing has exploded in popularity and our public lands are seeing the effects.

Fortunately, the Bishop Area Climbers Coalition, the Eastern Sierra Interpretive Association, and Friends of the Inyo are working to fund two climbing rangers ($55,000) to help support our public land agencies with educating and caring for our public lands. The climbing rangers will be working from Fall 2019 to Spring 2020.

Through education, community building, and stewardship, they will make sure that the climbing community remains one that recreates responsibly. Climbing Rangers seek to ignite a passion for environmental stewardship, connecting visitors and local residents with public lands through education, interpretation, and hands-on restoration.

To make this a reality, we need to raise $55,000. Join us as we ensure climbing on our public lands continues to be done with as little impact as possible.
